What this covers, and why it is done this way
When a UPS is replaced, the old one usually sits in a corner for two years before someone sells it as scrap for a fraction of what the copper and the working assemblies are worth. The transformers, the cabinet, the contactors and the lead in the battery bank all carry real recovery value.
We value on site, take the unit away as part of the new installation, and set the figure against the replacement invoice. Non-working units still carry value — the assessment is on recoverable materials and reusable assemblies, not on whether it powers up.
Batteries go to an authorised recycler under the Battery Waste Management Rules and you receive the disposal documentation, which matters if you hold an ISO 14001 certification and have to evidence it.
Step by step
- 1

Old UPS Buyback & Exchange — questions we get asked
Anything not covered here, call us — most of it is faster to answer on the phone.
Will you buy a UPS that no longer works?
Yes. The valuation is based on recoverable material and reusable assemblies — transformers, cabinet, contactors, copper — so a non-working unit still has a figure. It is lower than a working one, but it is not scrap value.
Do I have to buy a new unit from you to sell the old one?
No. Outright purchase is available. The exchange figure is better when it is set against a new installation, because we save the separate visit and the logistics.
What happens to the old batteries?
They go to an authorised recycler under the Battery Waste Management Rules, and you get the disposal documentation for your compliance records.
Where we attend
Everything is built at our Pune works and delivered, installed and commissioned across the city and the industrial belt around it.
Outside these areas we contract individually against distance, and we will tell you honestly if the response time you need is not one we can hold to. All areas served
Other services

UPS Annual Maintenance Contract
Quarterly preventive visits, an annual battery load test rather than a voltage check, and a breakdown line that answers. Any make — not only ours.

UPS Installation & Commissioning
From the site survey and cable schedule through battery rack assembly to a witnessed load-bank test and a signed commissioning certificate.

UPS Repair & Overhauling
Component-level diagnosis, not board swapping. On site where we can, at the works where the job needs a bench and a load bank.
Talk to someone who has done this before
Tell us the make, rating and age of the equipment and we will tell you what is realistic — including when the honest answer is that it is not worth doing.
