What this covers, and why it is done this way
Most UPS failures are not sudden. A fan bearing dries out, the enclosure fills with dust, one cell in a string of sixteen loses capacity, and the machine keeps reporting healthy right up to the moment it drops the load. The whole value of an AMC is catching that on a scheduled Tuesday rather than during a shift.
The part that distinguishes a real contract from a paper one is the battery test. A voltage reading on a floating battery tells you almost nothing — a failing cell reads normal at rest. We put the bank on a discharge test at rated load and measure actual delivered capacity, once a year, and the reading goes on your report.

Site audit
Asset list, ratings, battery ages, installation photographs, load profile. Done before the contract is priced, at no charge.

Contract scoping
Comprehensive (parts included) or non-comprehensive (labour and consumables only), priced against the audit rather than a rate card.

Quarterly preventive visit
Cabinet clean-down, torque check on all power terminations, fan and filter service, thermal scan of connections, DC bus and float voltage check, cell-by-cell readings, alarm log review.

Annual battery load test
Discharge test at rated load with measured delivered capacity, cell by cell. Cells below 80% of rated capacity are flagged for replacement before they fail.

Breakdown response
Telephone diagnosis first, then site attendance within the contracted window. Emergency line runs 24×7 for AMC customers.

Annual report
Trended readings across all four visits, so degradation shows as a slope rather than a surprise, with a written replacement forecast.

What does a UPS AMC cost in Pune?
It is priced per asset, against capacity, age, make and the response time you need. As a rough guide, a non-comprehensive contract typically runs a few percent of the equipment’s replacement value per year, and comprehensive runs meaningfully higher because spares are carried. The site audit is free and the quote follows from it.
Comprehensive or non-comprehensive?
Comprehensive includes spare parts, so your cost is fixed and predictable — sensible for older equipment or where a failure is expensive. Non-comprehensive covers labour, visits and consumables, with parts billed as used — usually better value for equipment still under three or four years old.
Will you service a UPS from another manufacturer?
Yes. A significant part of our AMC book is other makes. What we need is the model, rating, year and battery configuration so we can confirm spares availability before we commit to a response time.
How quickly do you attend a breakdown?
Within Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad the standard contracted window is same-day attendance for a load-down call, with the 24×7 line staffed for AMC customers. Outstation sites are contracted individually against distance. Whatever we agree goes into the contract in writing.
