3 kVA Online UPS
The smallest unit in the EPS-1PH-SERIES. Single phase in, single phase out, 2.4 kW of real output. Typical duty is a clinic reception, a small server cupboard, a billing counter or a single machine controller. Offered on a 72 V bank (six batteries) or a 96 V bank (eight), which is the choice that sets how much runtime you can add later.

Four kilowatts of real output, single phase throughout. This is the band where most small server rooms, dental and diagnostic clinics and two or three machine controllers land. The 192 V configuration is the one to specify if backup time matters, because a higher bus voltage carries more energy for the same amp-hour cell.

An online UPS rebuilds the waveform rather than filtering it. Incoming mains is rectified to DC, the DC bus feeds the battery bank and the inverter, and the inverter synthesises a fresh sine wave for the load. The load never sees the mains directly, so voltage dips, frequency drift and disturbance on the incoming supply are absorbed by the rectifier stage instead of reaching the equipment.
That matters in Pune specifically. On the MIDC feeders at Chakan, Bhosari and Ranjangaon the problem is rarely a full outage — it is sag from a neighbouring induction load starting up, and it lasts a few hundred milliseconds. An offline UPS transfers in several milliseconds and a servo stabilizer corrects in tens of milliseconds; an online UPS never transfers at all, because the inverter is already the source.
We build three series. The EPS-1PH-SERIES runs 3 to 10 kVA on a single-phase input with a single-phase output. The EPS-3PH1PH-SERIES runs 10 to 60 kVA, taking a three-phase input and converting it to a single-phase output, which balances the draw across your incoming supply. The EPS-3PH3PH-SERIES runs 10 to 200 kVA, three phase in and three phase plus neutral out, for distribution boards and plant that needs a genuine three-phase supply. All three are true double-conversion: the load runs off the inverter continuously, so transfer time is zero because there is no transfer.
Choose online when the load will not tolerate a break of a few milliseconds, or when the input voltage swings widely. Servers, CNC controllers, medical imaging and PLC racks all fall here.
A stabilizer corrects voltage but gives you no ride-through. If the feeder drops out completely, the load drops with it. Pair the two only where the incoming supply is both dirty and unreliable.
A DG takes eight to fifteen seconds to pick up. The UPS covers that window; the DG covers the hours after it. They are complementary, not alternatives.

What is the difference between an online UPS and an offline UPS?
In an online UPS the inverter feeds the load continuously, so there is no transfer at all when mains fails — the specification is 0 ms. In an offline or line-interactive UPS the load runs on filtered mains and switches to the inverter when the supply drops. That break is invisible to a desktop PC but can trip a CNC controller, a medical imaging system or a modern switch-mode supply running near its limit.
What size online UPS do I need?
Work in kilowatts, not kVA. These units are rated at 0.8 power factor, so a 10 kVA machine delivers 8.0 kW and a 60 kVA machine delivers 48 kW. Total the continuous wattage of your load, add roughly 25% for growth and inrush, and pick the model whose kW figure covers it. Our kVA calculator does the arithmetic; for motor loads, send the list instead.
Do these include a built-in isolation transformer?
Not as standard, and that is a choice rather than an omission. The parameter sheets specify double conversion without one; where galvanic isolation is genuinely needed we supply an ultra isolation transformer sized to the load. Building one into every cabinet saves a separate unit, but it adds loss, weight and cost to every machine whether the load calls for it or not, and on a clean earth with no leakage-current concern it earns nothing. Tell us what the load is sensitive to and we will say which of the two you actually need.
Do your online UPS systems give a three-phase output?
Yes — the EPS-3PH3PH-SERIES, 10 kVA to 200 kVA, is three phase plus neutral in and three phase plus neutral plus ground out at 380, 400 or 415 VAC. The other two series output single phase: EPS-1PH from 3 to 10 kVA, and EPS-3PH1PH from 10 to 60 kVA, which converts a three-phase input to a single-phase output and balances the draw on your incoming supply. Between 10 and 60 kVA either output is available, so tell us which the load needs.
How long will the UPS run on battery?
Backup time is set by the battery bank, not the UPS rating. The bank is external on every model — tubular or SMF, on a bus between 72 V and 360 V depending on the machine — and it is sized against the runtime you ask for. Tell us the minutes you need and we quote the bank with the unit.
What input voltage range do these tolerate?
The single-phase series accepts 170 V to 280 V, and the three-phase series 330 V to 480 V, both at 48 to 52 Hz. That is a wide enough window for most Pune industrial feeders without a stabilizer in front — which is one of the practical reasons to choose online over line-interactive here.
Do you manufacture these or import and rebadge them?
We manufacture. Assembly and testing are done at our works in Dhayari, Pune. You are welcome to visit and see a unit before it ships.
