50 kVA Online UPS — questions
Anything not covered here, call us — most of it is faster to answer on the phone.
What is the largest online UPS you build?
200 kVA, which is 160 kW, from the EPS-3PH3PH-SERIES on a 360 V or 384 V bank. Single-phase output tops out at 60 kVA in the EPS-3PH1PH-SERIES — 48 kW — because beyond that a single-phase load is unusual and a three-phase distribution is almost always the better answer. Above 200 kVA, or for parallel redundant systems, the requirement gets engineered against your load rather than picked from a range.
What cable and protection does this need?
Roughly 1.5 A per kVA on a 415 V three-phase input, so a 40 kVA unit draws about 60 A per phase and a 60 kVA about 90 A. Protection is normally the next MCCB size above that, with cable sized for the run length and derated for the panel-room ambient. We issue the cable schedule and protection sizing with the general arrangement drawing.

Send the load list. Sizing against inrush rather than running load is where most undersized installations go wrong, and it costs nothing to check.
