Should I take the single-phase or three-phase input version of the 10 kVA?
If you have a three-phase connection, take the three-phase input. Eight kilowatts drawn from one phase is a heavy single-phase load and it unbalances the incoming supply; spread across three phases it is unremarkable. Output is single phase on the EPS-3PH1PH-SERIES and three phase on the EPS-3PH3PH-SERIES, both available at this rating.
Does the 10 kVA give a three-phase output?
It depends on the series. The EPS-3PH3PH-SERIES outputs three phase plus neutral plus ground from 10 kVA up. The EPS-1PH and EPS-3PH1PH series output single phase plus neutral plus ground — on the latter, the three-phase reference is to the input side only. At 10 kVA both are available, so say which the load needs and we will quote the right one.
