Can an FCBC run without a battery connected?
Yes, in float mode it will regulate on its own, but ripple rises noticeably because the battery is no longer acting as a filter. If the charger is intended to run battery-less for extended periods, tell us at the quotation stage so we can specify the output filter for it.
